For users new or still unfamiliar in Javascript, CSS and/or XHTML, we would recommend taking a look at our installation guide. Experienced users can take a look at the comments our developers left in many of the JF MP3 files and figure out how to go about installing it using the demo file we provide as well. In general, JF MP3 is quite easy to install and get going. (no more than 2-3 minutes just for the player)

This is a very common question and there are a few things you should check before going any further.

Are the songs in your playlist in MP3 format? JF MP3 can only stream MP3 audio files.

Did you use your own soundManager and/or Mootools files? If you did not use the ones packaged with JF MP3, please take a look at this page first.

Are You Pointing To The Right File? Make sure the URL you put for the song file is correct.

Did You Structure The Playlist Properly? Make sure you properly formed your playlist and the HREF values. Take a look here.

Are You Testing Locally? Remember that JF MP3 only works on a server. You cannot test using the files directly on your computers hard drive.

Is Your Flash Player Up-To-Date? JF MP3 requires Flash 9 or above to function.

What about M4A, WMA, OGG And All Those Other Audio Formats? What about M4A, WMA, OGG And All Those Other Audio Formats?

At this time, Flash is limited to MP3 or WAV playback. Although we do not recommend using WAV files unless they are small files. We cannot support what Flash does not support! You can use any Free MP3 converter to convert your other audio formats to something Flash supports natively.
